“A dreamer is one who can only find (her) way by moonlight, and (her) punishment is that (she) sees the dawn before the rest of the world.” – Oscar Wilde
What a perfect thought for YWCA’s “Women of Achievement Luncheon” which will take place Thursday, April 7, 2011 at the Carolina First Center here in Greenville, SC. As a part of the Jr. Board for the YWCA, we are tasked with finding the Upstate’s “Dream Catchers.” Dream Catchers are a special breed. These women, as Wilde states, see “the dawn before the rest of the world.” They have a true vision – so vivid and real they could almost touch it. They’re dynamic, determined, passionate women who dream of a fantastic way to make Greenville, America and the world a better place. They could be budding entrepreneurs, someone with a fantastic idea to fill a community need or bind a community together, or even someone with an idea for an invention to promote the nation’s effort to be Greener than we are.
Nominations are being accepted now for such Dream Catchers. If you know of a woman in the Upstate deserving of such an honor, please have her contact the Jr. Board of the YWCA with the details on her dream at firstname.lastname@example.org.
