The Christmas Market in Glasgow

Trying to think of what to do in Glasgow in December? You MUST go to the Christmas Market!! Situated just about 500 yards away from the House of Fraser in City Centre, it’s not hard to miss. Some of my favorite picks from the market today:

Mulled wine: a fantastic, hot red sangria-like wine flavored with Christmas spices. I bought two of these packets – one for me to try and one for me to take home over Christmas to let my mom and sisters try out! It is positively DIVINELY perfect on a chilly Glaswegian Christmas shopping day.
The Christmas Market is very similar to Columbia, SC’s Soda City and other outdoor markets like that in the US. The difference? It’s purely for Christmas! It’s a beautiful mix of gifts for others (or yourself) plus lots of treats and sweets to eat. You can find everything there from French crepes to Indian and Mediterranean food.
One of my favorites: dried fruit wreaths sparkled with cinnamon sticks. They are QUITE fragrant and the perfect Christmas edition to your home.
I absolutely ADORED this gigantic reindeer. Artistic. Novel. And just the right bit of magic to put you in the Christmas spirit.
I adore crepes!! Reminds me so much of Columbia, SC’s Soda City. Got a lovely spinach, mushroom & egg crepe. Fabulous!
