God be with Glasgow this Christmas #binlorrycrash

Woke up this morning to the news of the bin lorry crash in Glasgow, Scotland and my heart sank. A bin lorry is basically a huge garbage truck. Its driver was seen slumped over the wheel (a suspected heart attack victim) and the bin lorry went careening along the sidewalks of George Square – the very HEART of Glasgow shopping. Very densely populated, the square has a large Ferris wheel and other carnival rides, festive music, a gigantic Christmas tree featuring beautiful reindeer and a sleigh. Six people were killed – 5 women and 1 man. My heart goes out to the people of Glasgow and the families of those killed. I was just shopping myself in the square only 2 days ago so I can imagine how horrific and terrifying that scene was with the carnival music still playing in the background. Prayers for you Glasgow from the US.
